Shade Tested: Craft
Prep: As with all matte lipsticks, it’s best to exfoliate and moisturize your lips prior to application.
Application: The sponge applicator on this lippie can give you a defined line — if you’re very, very careful. I am clumsy and ham-handed, so I have to use a lip brush to actually stay in the lines (so to speak.) The color goes on opaque in one swipe, and dries quickly.
Wear: This is definitely your typical matte liquid lipstick — it dries your lips out after a while. It wears for 10+ hours, but will need slight touch-ups every few hours due to transfer. It has the tendency to get a little goopy if you’re not careful when layering it, so keep a light hand.
Removal: Regular makeup remover will take this off with some scrubbing; but, it might be better to use an oil based remover just to give your lips a break.
The color of this lipstick is quite lovely, but the formula definitely isn’t the most comfortable wearing one on the market. It also transfers a bit too much for my taste. However, I’ve certainly experienced worse, so I’m gonna give it the benefit of the doubt and buy another shade to test in the future.
