Shade Tested: Tulle, Midi, Pacific, More Better (pictured)
Prep: There’s not much you can do to prep your lips for this nightmare.
Application: The sponge applicator on this lipstick isn’t bad. I was able to get a nice defined line without resorting to a lip brush. This particular shade went on opaque in one swipe, but others I tested did not.
Wear: While this lipstick will wear for 10+ hours, you won’t enjoy it. More Better (the shade pictured) ended up drying my lips out so badly that they cracked and bled. It’ll only need a couple touchups — but again, not worth it.
Removal: Regular makeup remover will take this off.
This is one of the worst liquid lipsticks I have ever encountered. Everyone and their dog seems to extol the virtues of Colourpop’s lippies, but I hated every moment of it. The formula is ALL OVER THE PLACE. Pacific — which seems to have been discontinued — went on patchy and began flaking within an hour. I looked like I had a skin infection. Tulle crumbled in the corners of my lips almost immediately. I realize this lipstick is only six bucks, but I could get NYX’s Soft Matte Lip Cream for that and save my lips a lot of pain.
